Gabriela Fritschová – my story

Music has been a part of my life for over 25 years. From the moment I first stepped on stage, I knew that this was the world I belonged to. My journey began in musicals — I played in shows like Evita, Galileo, A Clockwork Orange, and Old Men on Hops. Theater gave me a lot of joy and experiences that I still carry with me today.

Later, I had the honor of singing swing with the Karel Vlach Orchestra, which was a wonderful chapter. But one of the most important periods for me was working in the ABBACZ group. We traveled all over Europe with this group — Denmark, the Netherlands, Hungary, Austria, Belgium... Every concert was exceptional. People sometimes told us that our show was even stronger than the original — but I always just smiled at that. I have great respect for ABBA and the fact that we were able to bring their music to new generations was a gift.

Another important part of my life is the Gabina a Katka project, which I create with my close friend from ABBACZ. We perform for children in kindergartens and cultural centers, and we mainly sing our own songs. Some of them were so popular with the children that we even won 2nd place twice at a competition in Mladá Boleslav. When I see the children's eyes shining, I know that it makes sense.

And what would life be without chanson? French songs — they have accompanied me throughout my career. Édith Piaf, Yves Montand, Jacques Brel... their music speaks directly to the heart. I regularly perform with them all over the country. And I especially appreciate concerts with opera singer Olinka Jelínková, where we combine the beauty of opera with the magic of French chanson.

For me, music is about sharing emotions. Whether I sing on a big stage, in a small kindergarten, or in an old stone theater – every note is my sincere thanks to the audience for paying me their attention.
